This Alnico 5 humbucker pickup produces a punchy bass with a lovely balanced mid-range and well-defined highs. At the heart of the pickup is a rough cast Alnico 5 magnet, wrapped in 42 AWG wire. As in the original PAF humbuckers of the 50's the coils are unbalanced for an enhanced dynamic range, whilst still keeping the hum canceling properties.
The Rough Tub is an extremely versatile pickup that works well in many music styles including: blues, classic rock and metal.
The full range of options is available for this pickup in both the neck and bridge position.
They are generally sold as a calibrated set but can of course be purchased individually.
50mm spacing versions are available with short or long leg baseplates. 53mm spacing versions come with short leg only. example
